Driving in the snow and ice of winter requires some preparation and practice. Most importantly, winter drivers must remember to slow down and allow more space between cars. Not surprisingly, when there is ice and snow on the road a car can begin to slide in matter of seconds. However, if drivers allow more than a car’s length between one another, they will have more time to react and maneuver if they begin to slide.
